Wolfberry is rich in wolfberry polysaccharide (straight-chain starch), custard, zeaxanthin, physalein, ascorbic acid, carotene, riboflavin, nicotine, thiamine, betaine, taurine and other vitamins and 19 amino acids, as well as 21 minerals. Moreover, the concentration of β-carotene in wolfberry is even higher than that of carrot, and the concentration of effective protein is higher than that of bee pollen. Each 100g of fresh wolfberry contains 5.8g of crude protein, 1g of wolfberry fat, 155mg of calcium, 67mg of phosphorus, 3.4mg of iron, 3.96mg of carotene, 10.23mg of vitamin B, 20.33mg of vitamin B, 3mg of vitamin C, and about 1% of betaine.
